Craig Kerr begins his second season with the Bulldog football program in 2008. Kerr works with the Bulldog quarterbacks and wide receivers. In addition, Kerr serves as the program’s liaison to the admissions and financial planning office.

In 2007, Kerr and the coaching staff helped Wingate quarterback JD Moore set a new school record with 29 touchdown passes. The Bulldog passing offense ranked third in the South Atlantic Conference (242.1 yards per game). Both tight end Chris Conklin and wide receiver Shawn Barrett earned All-SAC honors. Three Bulldog receivers (Conklin, Barrett and Jordan Softcheck) caught five or more TD passes last year.

During the summer of 2007, Kerr served as a quarterback coach at the prestigious Pennington Quarterback/Wide Receivers Camp in Knoxville, Tenn. He worked primarily with high school signal callers at the current Miami Dolphin quarterback’s summer camp.

A Providence Senior High School product, Kerr was a quarterback and defensive end for the Panthers and legendary head coach Bruce Hardin. A two-year football letterman, Kerr was also a member of the track and rugby teams at Providence. Following his Providence career, he was the recipient of the H.K. Davis Athletic Scholarship.

Kerr is a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). While at Wingate, he is working on his masters’ degree in sports administration.
