Tee Overman enters his second season as a member of the Wingate University football coach staff this year. Overman works with the Bulldog linebackers. In addition, he is responsible for the scout team and Wingate’s scouting efforts.

In 2007, Overman and the Bulldog coaching staff helped senior linebacker Tyler Johnson earn All-South Atlantic Conference second team defensive honors. Johnson led the Bulldogs with 97 tackles this season. He was second in the league in tackles per game.

During his Bulldog playing career, Overman and his class of 2007 teammates achieved a then-school record 26 career wins. As a senior, Overman notched 48 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and two quarterback sacks. Wingate tied the school record with eight victories during the 2006 season.

In 2005, Overman recorded 75 tackles, five sacks and one forced fumble. Overman had a huge fumble recovery the same season, returning it 16 yards for a TD in a big road win at Tusculum. In 2004, Overman had 32 tackles including six tackles for a loss and three sacks. He had nine tackles in a win over Mars Hill (Oct. 16, 2004). Overman played his high school football for coach Tony Perrou at Southern Alamance.
