Ben Williams was a starter at left guard for the
Bulldogs in 2006. The Wingate passing game was first
among SAC teams (and eighth in NCAA Division II) at
273.8 yards per game. Also, the Bulldogs ranked
second in the SAC in total offense per game with
342.7 yards per contest in 2006. Williams played for
coach Kemper Amick at Columbia High School,
earning All-Region honors as a junior and senior and
an All-Area selection as a senior. A member of the
FCA, Williams was an honor roll student and an
active volunteer in his community.
