Dietrich Wright gained 41 yards on 13 carries in
2006. He held a 3.2 yards per carry average. Wright
had one punt return for four yards and five tackles
(one solo, four assists). He also had one pass break
up and one blocked kick. Wright’s versatility will
be very important for the Bulldogs this year. At
Eastern Technical High School, he was a first team
All-State, All-Division and All-City/County
following his senior season. He led Eastern in
rushing yards and tackles both his junior and senior
seasons. Wright rushed for 3,277 yards his final two
seasons. He was a two-time MVP at Eastern and a
co-MVP at Mercersburg Academy. Wright holds three
Maryland state records: points in a career (516),
touchdowns in a season (38) and career (87). |
