Megan Smith was honored as the Wingate women’s
soccer MVP for the second consecutive season. A
tenacious defender, Smith helped the Bulldogs to six
shutouts in 2006.
Smith recorded two assists in 2005. The Wingate
defense was fourth in the SAC in goals against
average during her sophomore season. In 2004, Smith
started 16 matches for the Bulldogs in 2004. She
tallied one goal and one1 assist as a freshman.
Megan Smith was voted Wingate women’s soccer
Newcomer of the Year by her teammates. Megan Smith
was named District Player of the Year as a senior at
Farmington High. Her team won the district
championships four years in a row. Megan Smith
earned All-State and All-District honors two years
in a row. Farmington was ranked third in the state
her junior year. She is a SAC Commissioner’s Honor
Roll student. |
