Structure of the Practice Program

Structure of the Practice Program

A holistic approach must be used when taking into account the many actors that involve the development of an elite student-athlete. Every player has a unique set of circumstances that must be tailored to meet her individual needs.

  • Each practice session will challenge the player technically and tactically while implementing the necessary physical components that relate to game situations.
  • During all practices and small sided games, players will be encouraged to problem solve themselves or through the varied coaching methods, help stimulate their thought process and decision making skills.
  • All sessions will b planned and structured. Whilst they will be technically based they will also offer creative game related objectives.
  • Individual and group practices will be delivered to help players fulfill their goal setting programs.
  • Players will be encouraged to develop a practice mentality and become increasingly self-aware and more responsible for their personal development.
  • Individuals and the team will be introduced to varied tactical alternatives and different systems of play to increase their understanding and enhance their soccer knowledge within our philosophy.
  • Game related and specific practices will be introduced that allow players to recognize and understand different movement patterns and passages of play to speed up the ability to read the game  then build up their perceptive experiences.
  • To create an environment where the players are continually looking to improve themselves, and where they will be dedicated to discover the potential that they have.
  • To produce highly motivated, elite players who strive for excellence and who are hungry for success.
