2007: Stormi Gale was a first team All-SAC selection, while also being named the SAC Freshman of the Year. She was also an all-state selection. Gale led the Bulldogs and was eighth in the SAC with 3.47 kills per game. She was fifth in the conference with a .310 hitting percentage, while ranking second in the league with .53 aces per game and third with 1.26 blocks per game. Gale had 22 matches with double-digit kills, including reaching double-digits in her final 13 matches of the season. Gale notched her first double-double against UNCP in September, with 12 kills and 11 digs. She racked up 23 kills while hitting .645 against Brevard. Gale registered 12 kills and 20 digs in back-to-back conference matches, first in a 3-1 win over Lincoln Memorial, followed by a 3-2 win over Tusculum, where she added 11 blocks to secure her first triple-double. She tallied double-doubles in her final two matches of the year, with 13 kills and 12 digs in the SAC title game and 15 kills and 10 digs in the NCAA Tournament.

High School:
As a co-captain with fellow Wingate signee Heather Myklebust, Gale helped lead her Fort Bend Austin HS team to a 5A Houston Area district title. Gale was an honorable mention All-State selection.

Gale played club volleyball for Club Texas. Gale’s Club Texas team was number one in Texas in both 16-and-under and the 17-and-under divisions. In addition, Club Texas finished in the top 20 nationally in the open division at Junior Olympics in 2005 and 2006. Gale was selected GCVA Beach Volleyball Player of the Year. She was also a member of the USA Lone Star High Performance Team.

Coach Collier: “In my opinion, last years as a freshman, Stormi was the best all around player in the conference, and perhaps the best all around player we have ever had here at Wingate. It is rare to find a middle hitter who plays at such a high level in the backcourt. Stormi will certainly be one of our leaders we will count on this season.”
